Fussy and Fancy Friday, Celebration card and 3D gift item (challenge #27)

Happy Friday everyone! I bet now that Christmas is over, you'll all have time to get crafting and play along with the great challenge at Fussy and Fancy. The challenge is to make a celebration card as well as a matching 3D item. With my bestie having a baby in a few months, I thought this was a perfect challenge to make her a gift. Here's what I came up with:
The above is a a cute gift card holder card, 3 stamped on onsies and a decorated paint can for the packaging. I used paper from The Paper Studio and some shimmer cardstock that I got in a paper pack from Walmart. I used stamps on the card holder and paint can from Skipping Stones Design that are currently unreleased. The stamps on my onsies are from The Greeting Farm. I used the girl from the Sweet and Toxic set, Monday and Friday from their Creeper Crew line.
I used the tutorial found HERE for the giftcard holder.
And I used the tutorial found HERE for the onsies.

Stamp Insanity challenge 40, Sparkle

Welcome everyone. Happy Thursday! We have a great challenge for you over at Stamp Insanity today. Sparkle! Use any image/sentiment. Add some something sparkly!
Bonus - use silver and/or gold! I used the Zeke and Maddie set.

 And my sparkly card:
I used paper by Fancy Pants from their Trick or Treat line last year called Enchanted. The black glitter paper is some that I got in a paper pack from Walmart years ago.
I also used some teal colored Glimmer Mist for more sparkle on the sentiment.
And on Maddie's little dress and accessories I used teal and silver Smooch paint (which is hard to photograph the sparkle). I finished my card off with some black bling.
Don't forget to stop over to Stamp Insanity to play along and check out the other Groovy Girls (links in my sidebar).

Fussy and Fancy Challenge 26, Snow

Happy Friday, I'm back with the latest and greatest challenge from Fussy & Fancy, SNOW! Couldn't get much easier then that. Below is my snow card:
I made an easel card this time around with paper from Echo Park from their Wintertime line and an image from Pixie Dust Studio called Melt My Heart. I fell in love with the image.
I added some diamond Stickles to the snow people and also cuttlebuged it with the Swiss Dots folder to look like snow.
I also used a cut from the tattered flowers and topped it with a snowflake and brad from my stash. My sentiment is computer generated. Don't forget to stop by Fussy and Fancy to play along.

My Minds Eye Challege 18, It's a STEVE thing

I really struggled with this layout, still not 100% sold on it but it's getting posted now because the challenge is up at midnight and I need to get it posted. Here's the sketch from My Minds Eye:
I tilted it for my layout which is below:
I used papers from Lost and Found, Portobello Road line and some Core'dinations Bling paper. I used some snowflakes to accent this layout.
Steve, who was a large part of my life as well as my families, recently passed away. I have known Steve since I was 2, in fact, he was my friend before he was my families friend. I used to make him mud pies and he would pretend to eat them. He would also mow letters into the lawn for me while I watched from his 3rd story apartment window. He was such an amazing man and will never be forgotten. He gave me the picture of him reading me a bedtime story for my college graduation. I don't remember it being taken but it's a cherished photo for me now.

SISC 39~Happy Holidays

Welcome everyone, Sorry I've been kind of missing lately. I had some stressful situations lately that have kept me from my craft room. But I need to get back into the swing so without further ado, my card for Stamp Insanity's challenge 39, Happy Holidays. The challenge is to just create a holiday card/project. Easy Peasy. I just got my Morgan's Star rubber set in the mail last week and it needed some inky love. Isn't this a fun set?
And here's my card:
I used paper from a company called Harmonie. I love this sheet. It's called Poinsettia. It is a B side paper but has an extra little fun on the little part that you cut off, it is actually the red strip I used across the bottom. How fun is that?!
I used lots of Stickles on my tree to make it festive. I also added Stickle's to the button I used for an embellie. I inked the edges in pumice stone Distress Ink.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the Groovy Girls (links can be found in my sidebar).
I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday this week:
Happy Holidays!!

Fussy and Fancy Challenge 25, Anything but a card

Hello all my blogger friends! Happy Friday! It's challenge time at Fussy and Fancy! Our challenge this week is Anything but a card. I'm so excited about this challenge because I got to use my stamps at my part time job at Pottery 2 Paint for this challenge. I made a trivet for hot plates. Check it out!
I used cute little Monday from The Greeting Farm. I stamped her in black paint and used a small brush to paint her. We have a few background stamps there that I stamped around her in purple and teal.
Isn't she cute!! I used a stencil to make the word laugh. She was clear dipped and fired making the final glossy result.
Here's a close up of her. The stamp isn't perfect, there's some blotches but for my first time stamping on pottery, I'm happy with the result.
Don't forget to head over to Fussy and Fancy to play along with this challenge!

SISC 37 - Luscious Lace

I know that these are CHALLENGES but they really have been challenging me to think outside the norm lately. This weeks challenge at Stamp Insanity is Luscious Lace, The Fabric of Our Lives. I never use lace or fabric on my cards. Not sure why, just never have. So I stopped down at Altered Art and Scrap Playground and picked up a package of lace. I also picked up some great paper by We R Memory Keepers. Here's my card featuring both the lace and the fun new paper.
The paper is from the Merry January line. It's a B side paper. This sheet is called Flake. Fitting isn't it? The back side has 4 6x6 squares and the 1 I used for the matting is Slush.
I used cute little Maddie from the Holiday Princess set (set photo posted below). I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used some Stickles on the flame of the candle and some white epoxy on the candle.
I had some of these snowflakes laying around from a few years back (so old the adhesive fell off) that were silver glitter that I inked with Vintage Photo and Broken China Distress Ink. I popped the Vintage Photo snowflake with some pop dots.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the Groovy Girls to see their amazing creations!
